BBC Live at Our Dawn Chorus

A BBC breakfast show will be broadcast live from Bishop Declan’s back garden this Sunday (6 April). The programme is based around a special dawn chorus which is part of Clifton Cathedral’s Sound of Many Waters - a year of environmental events.

Sunday Start’s presenter Trevor Fry said, “I’m really looking forward to getting up even earlier than my 4.00 am alarm call! I love the early morning and with the birds as company, there couldn’t be a better way of starting a new day.”

You can join Trevor, Bishop Declan and all the people taking part in the dawn chorus either by coming to the Bishop’s garden on North Road in Leigh Woods in Bristol, or by tuning in to ‘Sunday Starts’ on BBC Radio Bristol and BBC Somerset.

Top naturalist Chris Sperring MBE of the Hawk and Owl Trust will be on hand to explain the sights and sounds of this wonderful springtime sonic experience.

All are welcome to the free event between 5.00 am and 8.00 am. The Bishop is laying on teas, coffee and croissants to start the morning off.

‘Sunday Starts’ is on air from 6.00 am to 10.00 am every Sunday.
