A Catholic bishop whose interest is the environment will be speaking at St John the Baptist Cathedral, Earlham Road in Norwich on Thursday 29 May.
Right Reverend Declan Lang is the Bishop of Clifton - his diocese covers Bristol, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire. His is also the Catholic bishop for the environment.
Award-winning natural history radio and TV producer, Mary Colwell jointly presents the talk. The presentation ‘Caring for God’s Creation’ is colourfully illustrated with video clips and other multimedia.
Dean of St John the Baptist Cathedral, Father James Walsh said:
“I’m looking forward to welcoming Bishop Declan and Mary to Norwich and to seeing ‘Caring for God’s Creation’. I encourage people of all faiths and none to come to the Cathedral and hear how the Church can play a role in this major world issue. You’ll be made most welcome”
Bishop Declan Lang said:
“I appreciate the invitation to come to Norwich. I know it’s a place where people care deeply about how we respect our planet. “‘Caring for God’s Creation’ is a presentation in which we hope to deepen he awareness of people for our environment and our responsibility towards it.”
The Bishop of East Anglia, Right Reverend Michael Evans, will be attending ‘Caring for God’s Creation’.
